WHAT TO EXPECT

Adams Environmental Corporation provides professional soil testing and site investigations to support the proper planning and installation of septic systems. The purpose of a septic system is to treat household wastewater onsite through natural soil and biological processes, with the primary goal of protecting groundwater resources and public health. Because the septic system is one of the most critical components of a home, proper placement and design are extremely important. Our evaluations focus on soil characteristics, drainage capacity, and site conditions to ensure each system functions safely, effectively, and in compliance with local and state regulations.

Our fieldwork is conducted efficiently and with respect for our clients’ time constraints. In most cases, we prepare and submit completed reports by email to both the client and the local or state health department the same day the soil testing is performed. This prompt turnaround helps minimize delays in the permitting process and keeps projects moving forward. When a septic design is required for permit approval, Adams Environmental Corporation can also design the septic system, further streamlining and expediting the overall process.

In addition to testing and design services, Adams Environmental Corporation places a strong emphasis on client education. We take the time to explain soil conditions, the permitting process, and what our findings mean for the long-term performance of the septic system. We also educate clients on their responsibilities after installation, including proper use and maintenance, to help ensure the system continues to protect groundwater resources for years to come.

Soil properties and characteristics being recorded on a site in Hancock County that will be sent to the client and the local health department later that day.

Analyzing the Soil

Evaluating the soil profile in an excavated pit is one of the ways to identify and record soil data.

Continuing Education

The Indiana Registration of Soil Scientists have requirements for soil scientists to maintain continuing education by field exercises throughout the year.
